The IATF released the Automotive Quality Management System Standard,IATF 16949,on October 1st,2016.This new document, along with applicable automotive customer specific requirements (CSRs) and ISO 9001:2015,defines the fundamental quality management system requirements for automotive supplies. IATF 16949 is not a stand-alone QMS standard and must be audited in conjunction with ISO 9001:2015 and the CSRs.

Compared with ISO/TS 16949, IATF 16949 still follows the process-oriented approach, and added or strengthened many important content innovatively, such as the risk analysis consideration, product safety related requirements, product traceability requirements, corporate responsibility policies, and so on. The introduction of IATF 16949 will improve customer satisfaction, strengthen product safety and improve operational efficiency.

Now the transition related preparation of Leoco(Suzhou) is in progress and all the audit works will be completed by the end of 2017 according to the transition plan.
